Well, after much labor, I finally wrapped up the CD cover for Theocracy’s Mirror Of Souls!
Whew! This took a while. I had contacted Matt Smith after reading an article in Heaven’s Metal about doing the art for the upcoming CD. After pushing around some ideas, this is what evolved out of that:
Honestly, it’s not a bad cover, but in the long run, not what Matt was looking for. The project got put on hold for a while. The next time I heard about it, Ryan Clark, from Invisible Creature, was attached to doing the cover, as he wanted to help Matt out because Solid State was looking at maybe picking them up. I had to tip my hat to greatness when it comes to Ryan Clark. Due to his touring with Demon Hunter, he was not able to finish the piece, but had left some great ideas for me to springboard from. Matt contacted me with very little time to finish this job, and we proceeded to revamp the idea. In the long run, it actually evolved into a totally different piece. I am quite happy with the way that this came out. Felipe Machado is set to design the booklet to go along with it. I’m honored to be in great company.

I hope to post a tutorial of how, and what I actually did. Maybe it can help someone.
