“The Eternal Torment of the Soul” – July can be one of the hottest months, and the image for this month is no exception! Once again notice the “subtle” use of fire in this image. On a serious note, hell will be a real reward for some in the afterlife. God does not send us to hell, but instead we take ourselves there. Through this piece I wanted to speak to the reality of the issue. Thank God for the sacrifice of his son Jesus that delivers us from hell, afterwards and currently.
He, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name.â€
