I Saved The Day!

Sort of. I came across this as I perused Angelic Warlord’s site:

“Give us some details about the cover of the album. What is the basic concept behind the artwork?
The cover was done by Robert Wilson (www.deathisgain.com), who really saved the day, because the initial artwork hadn’t really worked out.  Robert did a character enters the Hall of Truth at the very end.  I think it’s a great cover, and very much in the spirit of covers of the 70s and 80s that had a little mystique to them and made you want to listen to the album to see what it was all about.”

Thanks Matt! I owe you dinner.

Addendum: I came across this at Lords of Metal as well:

“The album cover for the first band was done by Matthias Noren, now you’ve used Robert Wilson for this. Why did you choose for Robert and what do you think about the actual end result?
I love it and there’s absolutely a link to the lyrics, more specifically to the grand finale section of the title track. I think that Robert really has done a terrific job. We first had contact with another high profile artist company, but they really wanted to get their vision across and they hadn’t even listened to the album. Robert had read an interview on Theocracy and got in touch long before this release was planned. He was working on some artwork and when we were looking for a cover for ‘Mirror Of Souls’ he presented us his ideas and we were totally blown away by his work. ”
