I’ve never really been a fan of Smashing Pumpkins. Too much whine in that guys voice. I was just contacted today about how the artwork I did for X-Sinner’s World Covered In Blood, looked a lot like the Smashing Pumpkins “Zeitgeist”. Of course the execution is different, but the imagery is similar.
When Rex and I had gone over this piece, we had fleshed it out from a similar but different piece. I had submitted a piece where the Statue of Liberty was seen from below the water (blood) line with just the tip of her torch out of the water. Through the process we ended up with the final piece. What should I do?

Update: I just found out that the artist for the Smashing Pumpkins “Zeitgeist”, was Shepard Fairey. Now I feel even worse for thinking like him.
